応長元年（1311年）正月、主上（花園天皇）が元服された。このとき十五歳であった。冬平が加冠を行い、近衛左大臣・宗平が理髪を行った。三月、冬平が復辟して関白となった。同月、前太政大臣・信嗣が薨去した。享年七十六歳。八月、西園寺の前左大臣・公衡が剃髪した。この人物は太政大臣に任じられるはずであるとの沙汰があったが、辞退して就任しなかった。別号を竹林院と称した。九月、北条師時が頓死した。享年三十七歳。十月二十六日、北条相模守・貞時が卒去した。享年四十一歳。法号を最勝園寺と号した。弘安七年（1284年）から正安三年（1301年）まで執権の職にあること十八年、剃髪後十年、合わせて二十八年であった。嫡子・高時はわずかに九歳であった。北条宗宣と北条煕時とが執権・連署を務めた。煕時は時村の孫であり、貞時の婿であった。貞時の内管領・長崎入道（が…）

...it was the custom to appoint [the person who performed the Kakan ceremony] as Daijō Daijin (Grand Minister of State).
In the first month of the first year of Ōchō [1311], the Emperor [Hanazono] underwent the coming-of-age ceremony (genpuku). He was fifteen years old at the time. Fuyuhira performed the Kakan (placing of the ceremonial cap), and Konoe Minister of the Left Munehira performed the Rihats (ritual hair-dressing). In the third month, Fuyuhira was reinstated and became Kanpaku (Chief Advisor to the Emperor). In the same month, the former Daijō Daijin Nobatsugu passed away. He was seventy-six years old. In the eighth month, the former Minister of the Left of the Saionji house, Kinhira, shaved his head [entered the Buddhist priesthood]. There had been word that this person was to be appointed as Daijō Daijin, but he declined and did not take the position. He adopted the Buddhist name Chikurin'in. In the ninth month, Hōjō Morotoki died suddenly. He was thirty-seven years old. On the twenty-sixth day of the tenth month, Hōjō, Governor of Sagami, Sadatoki passed away. He was forty-one years old. His posthumous Buddhist name was Saishōonji. From the seventh year of Kōan [1284] to the third year of Shōan [1301], he served as Shikken (regent of the Bakufu) for eighteen years; after shaving his head, ten more years — twenty-eight years in total. His legitimate son Takatoki was barely nine years old. Hōjō Munenori and Hōjō Hirotoki jointly served as Shikken and Rensho (co-signatories).
