現代語訳
円喜と、高時の舅（しゅうと）である秋田城介・時顕とが、貞時の遺言を受けて高時を補佐した。円喜は、平左衛門・頼綱の甥である光綱という者の子である。時顕は、城陸奥守・泰盛の弟である顕盛という者の孫である。
正和元年（1312年）六月、北条宗宣が死去した。煕時が単独の執権として諸事を奉行した。円喜・時顕はしだいに権勢を振るうようになった。
正和二年（1313年）七月、鷹司の前関白・基忠が薨去した。享年六十七歳。関白・冬平は父の忌（服喪）により当職を辞した。近衛家平が関白となった。
十月、伏見上皇が政務を後伏見上皇に譲り、落飾（出家）された。主上（花園天皇）は、もともと後伏見天皇の養子であったことから、朝覲などの儀式は父子の礼に準じた。
十二月、近衛家平が左大臣を辞した。二条道平が右大臣より左大臣に転じ、近衛経平が内大臣より右（大臣）に

...Enki [Nagasaki Enki], and Takatoki's father-in-law, the Akita no Jōnosuke (Governor of Akita Castle) Tokiaki, received Sadatoki's dying instructions and served as assistants to Takatoki. Enki was the son of a man named Mitsunori, who was the nephew of Taira no Saemon Yoritsuna. Tokiaki was the grandson of a man named Akimori, who was the younger brother of Jō, Governor of Mutsu, Yasumori.
In the sixth month of the first year of Shōwa [1312], Hōjō Munenori died. Hirotoki administered all affairs alone as Shikken. Enki and Tokiaki gradually grew in power and influence.
In the seventh month of the second year [of Shōwa, 1313], the former Kanpaku of the Takatsukasa house, Mototada, passed away. He was sixty-seven years old. The Kanpaku Fuyuhira resigned from his post due to mourning for his father. Konoe Iehira became Kanpaku.
In the tenth month, the Retired Emperor Fushimi transferred governance to the Retired Emperor Go-Fushimi and entered the Buddhist priesthood. Since the Emperor [Hanazono] had originally been the adopted son of Go-Fushimi, the ceremonies of court attendance and the like followed the proprieties of a father-son relationship.
