十月、三条の実重が太政大臣を辞した。前の内大臣・源通雄（みちお）が太政大臣に任じられた。源通重が内大臣を辞した。花山院の師信（もろのぶ）が内大臣に任じられた。
（元応）二年（1320年）五月、六波羅の北条時敦（ときあつ）が死去した。七月、九条の前摂政・師教（のりのり）が薨去した。享年四十八歳。
元享（げんこう）元年（1321年）二月、今出河の前右大臣・藤原公顕（きんあき）が薨去した。四月、後宇多法皇が大覚寺の金堂を建立した。五月、大覚寺に行幸があった。六月、鎮西探題・北条兼時（かねとき）が死去した。今年の夏は大旱（おおひでり）であった。天皇は検非違使別当・藤原経宣（つねのぶ）に命じて、粟を出して貧民を救済させた。また洛中の富裕な人々が蓄えていた米を安く売らせて、飢えを救った。（天皇）自ら記録所へ出て、訴えを裁決した。十一月、花山院の内大臣・師信が薨去した。十二月、（以下次ページへ続く）

In the tenth month, Sanjō Saneshige resigned from the post of Grand Minister of State (Daijō-daijin). The former Minister of the Interior, Minamoto no Michio, was appointed Grand Minister of State. Minamoto no Michishige resigned from the post of Minister of the Interior. Kazanin's Moronobu was appointed Minister of the Interior.
In the fifth month of the second year [of Gen'ō] (1320), Hōjō Tokiatsu of the Rokuhara [Tandai] died. In the seventh month, Kujō's former Regent, Norinori, passed away. He was forty-eight years of age.
In the second month of Genkō 1 (1321), Imadegawa's former Minister of the Right, Fujiwara no Kinaki, passed away. In the fourth month, the Retired Emperor Go-Uda (now a Buddhist monk, Hōō) established the kondō (main hall) of Daikaku-ji temple. In the fifth month, an imperial visit (gyōkō) was made to Daikaku-ji. In the sixth month, Hōjō Kanetoki, the Chinzei Tandai (Deputy for Kyushu), died. That summer there was a great drought. The Emperor ordered Fujiwara no Tsunenobu, the Chief of the Kebiishi (Imperial Police), to distribute millet to relieve the poor. Furthermore, the Emperor had the wealthy residents of the capital sell their stored rice at low prices to relieve the famine. The Emperor himself went to the Kirokusho (Records Office) to adjudicate petitions and lawsuits. In the eleventh month, Kazanin's Minister of the Interior, Moronobu, passed away.
