現代語訳
（正中）二年（1325）五月、日野中納言資朝・日野右少弁俊基が召し捕らえられ、鎌倉へ送られた。この両人は天皇の近臣であり、関東（幕府）を滅ぼさんとする謀議に関わっていたためである。
七月、万里小路大納言宣房が鎌倉へ遣わされ、告文を高時に奉って謝罪された。これにより資朝は佐渡へ流され、俊基は赦されて京に帰った。朝廷は無事であった。
八月、禅僧疎石を南禅寺の住持とした。天皇はこれより禅法に傾倒されるようになった。
十月、前将軍惟康親王が薨去された。享年六十二歳。
十二月、一条の前関白内経が薨去した。享年三十六歳。芬陀利華院と号す。
嘉暦元年（1326）三月、東宮邦良が薨去した。享年二十四歳。同月、北条高時が病気により剃髪し、崇鑑と号した。享年二十四歳。その弟、左近大夫泰家に執権を譲り、金沢貞顕と連署（した）。

In the fifth month of the second year [of Shōchū, 1325], Hino Chūnagon (Middle Counselor) Suketomo and Hino Ushōben (Junior Assistant Controller of the Right) Toshimoto were arrested and taken to Kamakura. This was because these two men were close retainers of the Emperor who were involved in a conspiracy to destroy the Kantō (shogunate).
In the seventh month, Madenokōji Dainagon (Major Counselor) Nobufusa was dispatched to Kamakura, and a written declaration was presented to Takatoki as an apology. As a result of this, Suketomo was exiled to Sado, while Toshimoto was pardoned and returned to the capital. The Imperial Court was thus spared from harm.
In the eighth month, the Zen monk Soseki was appointed abbot (jūji) of Nanzen-ji. From this time onward, the Emperor became deeply devoted to Zen Buddhism.
In the tenth month, the former Shōgun Prince Koreyasu passed away. He was sixty-two years of age.
In the twelfth month, the former Kampaku (Imperial Regent) Ichijō Utsunori passed away. He was thirty-six years of age. He was given the posthumous name Fundarike-in.
In the third month of the first year of Karyaku [1326], Crown Prince Kuniyoshi passed away. He was twenty-four years of age. In the same month, Hōjō Takatoki, due to illness, shaved his head and took the Buddhist name Sōkan. He was twenty-four years of age. He passed the position of Shikken (Regent) to his younger brother, Sakon no Daibu Yasuie, and [Yasuie served] jointly with Kanazawa Sadaaki as Renshō (co-signatory).
