武家の計らいによって、西園寺大納言公宗に談じて、量仁が即位された。後二条院の孫・邦良の子、康仁を東宮とした。
正慶元年（1332年）三月、常葉範貞が六波羅の職を辞した。北条越後守仲時・北条左近将監時益が六波羅に補せられて上洛した。仲時は北の方（北六波羅）にあり、時益は南の方（南六波羅）にあった。範貞は鎌倉へ帰った。同月、高時の使者・長井高冬が上洛し、両六波羅が相談して、先帝・後醍醐（天皇）を隠岐の国へ流された。一の宮・尊良親王は土佐へ流された。妙法院・尊澄法親王は讃岐へ流された。尊雲はあちらこちらに隠れながら還俗し、名を護良と改めて吉野の城に籠った。

By the arrangement of the warrior houses, Saionji Dainagon Kimmune was consulted, and Kazuhito ascended the throne. Yasuhito, the son of Kuniyoshi — grandson of the Gonijō-in — was made Crown Prince.
In the third month of Shōkyō 1 (1332), Tokiwa Norisada resigned his post at Rokuhara. Hōjō Nakatoki, Governor of Echigo, and Hōjō Tokimasu, Sakon no Shōgen, were appointed to Rokuhara and went up to the capital. Nakatoki took charge of the Northern Rokuhara, while Tokimasu took charge of the Southern Rokuhara. Norisada returned to Kamakura. In the same month, Takatoki's envoy Nagai Takafuyu went up to the capital, and after consultation between the two Rokuhara offices, the retired Emperor Godaigo was exiled to the province of Oki. The First Prince, Imperial Prince Takayoshi, was exiled to Tosa. Myōhōin Imperial Prince Sonchō was exiled to Sanuki. Sonun (Prince Morinaga) hid here and there, returned to lay life, changed his name to Moriyoshi, and shut himself up in the fortress at Yoshino.
In the fourth month, Kusunoki Masashige again captured the fortress at Akasaka. In the fifth month, the close retainers of the retired Emperor were either killed or exiled.
