Nitta Yoshisada was also among the besieging force, but secretly communicated with Prince Moriyoshi and returned to Kōzuke Province, intending to raise a righteous army. In the same month, Akamatsu Enshin advanced to Maya Castle in Settsu Province, and in Iyo Province, Doi, Tokuno, and others raised a righteous army. In the third month, Akamatsu Enshin attacked and advanced on the capital. Because of this, the new Emperor made a progress to Rokuhara. Both (northern and southern) Rokuhara headquarters repeatedly engaged Akamatsu in battle.
