【後醍醐天皇 重祚】
正慶二年（1333年）五月、六波羅が攻め落とされた旨を、高氏ならびに忠顕・円心らが（後醍醐天皇の）船の上へ注進したので、後醍醐天皇はただちに入洛なさった。播州書写山にて、義貞より高時滅亡の事が注進された。楠木正成は兵庫にてお迎え申し上げた。

From the year Jishō 4 (1180), when Yoritomo entered Kamakura, to the present year, there had been nine generations of shoguns and eight generations of Hōjō regents, totaling one hundred and fifty-four years. This Emperor (Kōgon) reigned for a mere two years. The era name was Shōkyō.
【Emperor Go-Daigo — Restoration to the Throne (Jūso)】
In the fifth month of Shōkyō 2 (1333), Takauji, together with Tadaaki and Enshin and others, sent a report to (Go-Daigo's) ship that the Rokuhara had been attacked and taken. Go-Daigo thereupon immediately proceeded to the capital. At Mount Shoshazan in Banshū (Harima Province), a report was sent by Yoshisada informing him of the destruction of Takatoki. Kusunoki Masashige came to receive him at Hyōgo.
In the sixth month, he arrived in the capital. Takauji was appointed Military Governor of Chinjufu (Chinjufu Shōgun), assigned to the post of Jibu-kyō (Minister of Civil Administration), and granted the rank of Junior Fourth Rank, Lower Grade. Tadayoshi was appointed Head of the Left Stables (Sama no Kami). Takauji was the tenth generation descendant from Minamoto no Yoshiie and the sixth-generation grandson of Ashikaga Sama no Kami Yoshiuji, and was the foremost representative of the Seiwa Genji (Minamoto clan descended from Emperor Seiwa). However, because for generations the clan had formed marriage alliances with the Hōjō and maintained close relations with them, their landholdings were also extensive.
