十一月、義満は従四位下に叙せられ、参議に任じられ、左中将を兼ね、左馬頭の職が鎌倉の氏満に授けられた。
十二月、義満の九州出陣について評議があった。頼之と相談して、鎌倉の上杉弾正朝房を召して京都の警固とし、仁木義長をして伊勢の北畠氏を抑えさせ、山名氏清をして南方の和田・楠の一族を抑えさせ、武田・小笠原をして伊予の金谷らを抑えさせることとした。その他、東は伊豆を境とし、北は越後を境として、諸国の軍勢を召し集めた。

In the tenth month, it was decreed that the appointment of head abbots (*jūjishoku*) of the Five Zen Temples of Kamakura should be decided by Yoshimitsu, while other temple regulations should be handled by the Kamakura *kanryō* (deputy), Ujimitsu.
In the eleventh month, Yoshimitsu was granted the Junior Fourth Rank, Lower Grade (*jushii no ge*), appointed as a Counselor (*sangi*), concurrently assumed the post of Middle Captain of the Left (*sachu-jō*), and the post of Head of the Left Stables (*samanokamì*) was conferred upon Ujimitsu of Kamakura.
