（豊後を大友に）賜り、長門・肥前は大内義弘に賜った。筑後・肥後ならびに肥前の内には、菊池の兵が各所に城を構えて守っていた。
十月、義満は帰洛した。十一月、上杉朝房は鎌倉へ帰った。これより義満の武威は大いに盛んとなり、南方（南朝方）も衰えたので、諸国の武士は皆、京都へ集まった。
十二月、主上の即位の儀式が行われた。践祚の後、世上が穏やかでなく、その上、春日の神木がいわれあって入洛し、年を経ていたため、藤原氏の人々が公役に出仕しがたい事情があり、大礼が延引されたのである。

[Yoshimitsu] granted [Bungo to the Ōtomo clan], and bestowed Nagato and Hizen upon Ōuchi Yoshihiro. Within Chikugo, Higo, and parts of Hizen, Kikuchi's soldiers had constructed fortifications at various locations and continued to hold out.
In the tenth month, Yoshimitsu returned to the capital. In the eleventh month, Uesugi Tomofusa returned to Kamakura. From this point on, Yoshimitsu's military prestige grew exceedingly great, and as the Southern Court (*Nanpō*) had also declined, the warriors of the various provinces all gathered in Kyoto.
In the twelfth month, the ceremony of the sovereign's enthronement was held. After the accession (*senzo*), the world had not been at peace; furthermore, the sacred *shinboku* tree of Kasuga Shrine had, for particular reasons, been brought into the capital and had remained there for some years, making it difficult for members of the Fujiwara clan to perform their public duties. For this reason, the grand ceremony had been postponed.
In the third month of the first year of Eiwa (1375), Yoshimitsu made a pilgrimage to Iwashimizu [Hachimangū].
