（義満は）その罪を赦して、石州（石見国）に居らせた。十二月、頼之ならびに諸大名が馬を献上した。
三年、朝鮮国の使者・鄭夢周が来朝し、筑紫にて探題・今川了俊と会って帰国した。
四年三月、義満は犬追物を行った。同月、義満は室町の新館へ移徙（わたまし）し、室町殿と号した。庭に花を多く植えたことから、花の御所とも号した。同月、義満は大納言に任じられた。四月、鎌倉の上杉能憲が死去した。その弟・刑部大輔憲春が代わって政務を執った。八日、関白忠基が左府（左大臣）を辞した。二条師嗣が左府に任じられた。近衛兼嗣が右府（右大臣）に任じられた。今出川前大納言・藤原公直が内府（内大臣）に任じられた。義満は右近衛大将を兼任することとなった。
十一月、南方の橋本民部らが紀州に蜂起し、細川兵部（大輔）が（これに対処した）。

(Yoshimitsu) pardoned his crime and allowed him to reside in Sekishū (Iwami Province). In the twelfth month, Yoriyuki and various great lords presented horses as tribute.
In the third year [of Eiwa, 1377], an envoy from the kingdom of Joseon (Korea), Jeong Mongju, came to Japan, met with the Tandai (regional deputy) Imagawa Ryōshun in Tsukushi (Kyushu), and returned home.
In the fourth year [1378], third month, Yoshimitsu held an inuōmono (dog-chasing mounted archery event). In the same month, Yoshimitsu moved into the new mansion in Muromachi, which was henceforth called the Muromachi-dono. Because many flowers were planted in the garden, it was also known as the Hana no Gosho (Flower Palace). In the same month, Yoshimitsu was appointed Dainagon (Major Counselor). In the fourth month, Uesugi Norinori of Kamakura died. His younger brother, Gyōbu no Taifu Noriharu, took over the administration of affairs. On the eighth day, Regent Tadamoto resigned from the position of Safu (Minister of the Left). Nijō Morotsugu was appointed Safu. Konoe Kanetsugu was appointed Ufu (Minister of the Right). Former Dainagon Fujiwara no Kimitada of Imadegawa was appointed Naifu (Minister of the Center). Yoshimitsu was appointed concurrently as Commander of the Right Imperial Guards (Ukon'e no Taishō).
In the eleventh month, Hashimoto Minbu and others of the Southern faction raised a revolt in Kishū (Kii Province), and Hosokawa Hyōbu (responded to the uprising).
