（楠政勝は十津川の辺りに）流浪した。その弟正元は、ひそかに京へ入り、義満を狙ったけれども、事が露顕して殺された。このようであったので、南方もいよいよ衰えて、和泉・河内の和田・楠の一族で、畠山・大内の家人となる者が多かった。
二月、武蔵守頼之入道常久が卒した。享年六十四歳。永泰院と号した。葬礼の時、義満は自らこれを見送られた。四月、公家・武家、ならびに諸寺・諸社の沙汰があり、賞罰を糺した。

(Kusunoki Masakatsu) wandered (in the vicinity of Totsugawa). His younger brother Masamoto secretly entered the capital and attempted to assassinate Yoshimitsu, but the plot was discovered and he was killed. As a result, the Southern Court further declined, and many among the Wada and Kusunoki clans of Izumi and Kawachi became retainers of Hatakeyama and Ōuchi.
In the second month, the lay monk Yoriyuki, Governor of Musashi, posthumously named Jōkyū, passed away at the age of sixty-four. He was given the posthumous name Eitaiin. At the time of his funeral, Yoshimitsu himself came to see him off. In the fourth month, matters concerning the court nobility, the warrior houses, and various temples and shrines were attended to, and rewards and punishments were meted out.
