乙訓に都を置いた。その後また大和の磐余玉穂宮に遷都した。筑紫に磐井という者がいた。謀反を起こし、肥前・肥後・豊前・豊後を押領し、三韓の貢物を押さえて奪い取った。天皇は金村と議論して、麁鹿火を大将とし、斧鉞を授けて「筑紫の事はお前に任せる。賞罰は心のままに行え。奏聞に及ばず」と宣言した。麁鹿火はただちに進発し、御井郡にて合戦し、磐井を討って筑紫を平定した。近江の毛野という者を三韓へ派遣し、政治を行わせた。毛野が三韓に到着して勅詔を宣布するときは、高い所に登って言い渡した。三韓の諸臣は庭にいてこれを承った。この代に百済国から、五経の博士叚楊尓という者が来朝した。その後高安茂という博士が来て、叚楊尓に替わった。天皇は在位二十五年で崩御し、歳八十二であった。あるいは在位二十八年ともいう。

The capital was established in Otokuni. Later, it was moved again to Iware Tamaho Palace in Yamato. In Tsukushi there was a man named Iwai. He raised a rebellion, seized control of Hizen, Higo, Buzen, and Bungo provinces, and intercepted and seized tribute from the Three Korean Kingdoms. The Emperor consulted with Kanamura and made Arakahi the general, granting him the battle-axe and declaring "The affairs of Tsukushi are entrusted to you. Carry out rewards and punishments as you see fit. There is no need to report back." Arakahi immediately departed, fought a battle at Mii District, killed Iwai, and pacified Tsukushi. A man from Omi named Keno was dispatched to the Three Korean Kingdoms to conduct governance. When Keno arrived in the Three Korean Kingdoms and proclaimed the imperial edicts, he would climb to a high place to announce them. The various ministers of the Three Korean Kingdoms would be in the courtyard below to receive them. During this reign, a scholar of the Five Classics named Dan Yang'ni came from Baekje. Later, a scholar named Gao Anmao came and replaced Dan Yang'ni. The Emperor reigned for twenty-five years before passing away at the age of eighty-two. Some sources say he reigned for twenty-eight years.
