（応永）十七年正月、源義嗣が中納言に任じられた。四月、義持が高野山に参詣した。同月、二条関白満基の子・基教が、名を持基と改めた。先例により、義持の諱の字を授けられたのである。六月、畠山満家が管領に任じられた。十二月、関白満基が薨去した。一条経嗣が再び関白に任じられた。
十八年四月、今出川右府公行が左府に任じられた。鷹司大納言冬家が右府に任じられた。九月、源高員をして、飛騨の国司・藤原伊纜を討たせた。十二月、義嗣が大納言に任じられた。
同月、鎌倉の上杉安房守憲定が死去した。その又従弟・右衛門佐氏憲がこれに代わって、持氏の家老となった。氏憲は朝房の子であり、朝宗の甥にあたる。氏憲は剃髪して、名を禅秀と改めた。犬懸入道と号した。憲定の子・憲基とは不和であった。上……

In the first month of the seventeenth year (of Ōei, 1410), Minamoto no Yoshitsugu was appointed Chūnagon (Middle Counselor). In the fourth month, Yoshimochi made a pilgrimage to Mount Kōya. In the same month, Motoori (Motonori), the son of Nijō Kanpaku Mitsumoto, changed his name to Mochimoto. Following precedent, he was granted a character from Yoshimochi's personal name (imina). In the sixth month, Hatakeyama Mitsunori was appointed kanrei. In the twelfth month, Kanpaku Mitsumoto passed away. Ichijō Tsunetsugu was once again appointed kanpaku.
In the fourth month of the eighteenth year (1411), Imagawa Udaijin Kimiyuki was appointed Sadaijin (Minister of the Left). Takatsukasa Dainagon Fuyuie was appointed Udaijin (Minister of the Right). In the ninth month, Minamoto no Takakazu was ordered to suppress Fujiwara no Itsuna (Tatsuna), the provincial governor of Hida. In the twelfth month, Yoshitsugu was appointed Dainagon (Major Counselor).
In the same month, Uesugi Norizada, the Governor of Awa in Kamakura, died. His second cousin, Uemon no Suke Ujinori, took his place and became the chief retainer (karō) of Mochiuji. Ujinori was the son of Tomofusa and the nephew of Tomomune. Ujinori took Buddhist vows, changing his name to Zenshū. He took the title of Inuakari Nyūdō (the lay monk of Inuakari).
