正長元年より今年まで、治世十四年。管領・細川右京大夫持之、畠山左衛門督持国、大内介持世らが相談し、義教の子・義勝を盛り立てて主君とした。時に僅かに八歳であった。細川讃岐守持常、赤松伊豆守貞村、武田大膳大夫信賢を大手の大将とし、山名右衛門督持豊・同修理大夫教清・同相模守教之を搦手の大将として、播州へ発向し、満祐父子を誅罰させた。持常は満祐と仲が良かったので、進んで攻めなかった。
八月、綸旨を播州の寄手に賜って、満祐を誅させた。同月、義勝、従五位下に叙す。

...they descended upon Harima Province. Yoshinori was at that time forty-eight years of age. He was posthumously granted the rank of Grand Minister of State (Daijō-daijin). His Buddhist temple name was Fukōin, and he was also referred to by the honorific name Zenzan.
From the first year of Shōchō to the present year, his reign had lasted fourteen years. The Kanrei (Deputy Shogun) Hosokawa Ukyō-no-daibu Mochiyuki, Hatakeyama Saemon-no-kami Mochikuni, Ōuchi-no-suke Mochisuke, and others convened and agreed to support Yoshinori's son, Yoshikatsu, as their new lord. He was at this time merely eight years of age. Hosokawa Sanuki-no-kami Mochitsune, Akamatsu Izumi-no-kami Sadamura, and Takeda Daizenno-daibu Nobukata were appointed as commanders of the main force (ōte), while Yamana Uemon-no-kami Mochitōyo, the same clan's Shuri-no-daibu Norikiyo, and the same clan's Sagami-no-kami Noriyuki were appointed as commanders of the flanking force (karamete). They advanced toward Harima Province to suppress and punish Mitsusuke and his son. However, Mochitsune, being on friendly terms with Mitsusuke, did not press the attack.
In the eighth month, an imperial edict (rinji) was bestowed upon the besieging forces in Harima Province, ordering the punishment of Mitsusuke. In the same month, Yoshikatsu was conferred the rank of Junior Fifth Rank, Lower Grade (Jū-go-i-ge).
