On the sixteenth day of the second month of the sixth year [1526], the reconstruction and re-enshrinement [zōtai sengū] of the Iwashimizu Hachimangū Shrine took place. Shogun Minamoto no Yoshiharu attended in person. Hosokawa Takakuni oversaw the security on the upper approach to the mountain, and directed Hatakeyama Uenaga to guard the foot of the mountain. The deputy military governors [shugodai] of Yamashiro and Settsu performed guard duties at key points along the route. Hosokawa Ukone no kami [Right Equerry] Sumikata, Ise no kami [Governor of Ise] Sadataka, and many other warriors attended. The court liaison to the warrior houses [buke no tensō], Hirohashi Dainagon [Major Counselor] Morimitsu, and Hino Chūnagon [Middle Counselor] Uchimitsu also accompanied the procession as attendants [kosō]. Zenhōji Temple served as the lodging quarters. This was in accordance with precedent established since the time of Rokuon-in-dono [Ashikaga Yoshimitsu]. Armor, bows and swords, and sacred horses were offered as dedications.
On the seventh day of the fourth month, the sovereign passed away at the Records Office [Kirokusho]. He was sixty-three years of age.
