[Continued from the previous page] ...was appointed Grand Minister of State [Daijō Daijin]. In the twelfth month, Saionji Dainagon Sanenori was appointed Naidaijin [Minister of the Interior/Inner Minister].
In the second month of the fifth year [of Tenbun, 1536], the Imperial Enthronement Ceremony was held. As both the court nobility and the warrior class had fallen into decline, it had been postponed until now. The expenses for this occasion were said to have been provided by Ōuchi no Suke Yoshitaka, who was the son of Yoshioki. In the third month, Takeda Harunobu of Kai Province underwent his coming-of-age ceremony [genpuku]. He was sixteen years of age at the time. Yoshiharu granted him a character from his own personal name [imina]. Harunobu later shaved his head [entered Buddhist orders] and took the name Shingen. He engaged in battles year after year against the Ogasawara and Suwa of Shinano Province, and Murakami of Echigo Province. In the sixth month, the Chūnagon Fujiwara Kanehide was dispatched as an imperial envoy [chokuши] to Ōuchi Sakyō no Daibu Yoshitaka of Suō Province. Yoshitaka was appointed Dazai no Daini [Senior Assistant Governor-General of the Dazaifu]. In the seventh month, the warrior-monks [shuto] of Mt. Hiei rose up en masse, poured into the capital, set fires, hunted down and slew the followers of the Nichiren sect, and more than half of the city of Kyoto [Rakuchū] was destroyed by fire. In the tenth month, Nijō Harufu [Inbō] resigned as kampaku. Koga Michinoto resigned as Minister of the Right [Udaijin]. Sanjō Sanetsuka resigned as Shōkoku [Grand Minister of State]. In the eleventh month, Konoe Taneka was reappointed as kampaku.
