天文十五年（1546年）正月、一条関白・房通が左大臣を辞した。三条公頼が左大臣に任じられた。三月、公頼が辞退し、今出川公彦が左大臣に任じられた。二条晴良が右大臣に転任した。万里小路大納言・藤原秀房が内大臣に任じられた。七月、秀房が辞退し、一条大納言・兼冬が内大臣に任じられた。
同月、将軍・義晴の子・義藤（十一歳）が従五位下に叙された。
十二月十八日、義晴は義藤を伴って坂本へ赴き、十九日、日吉神社の神主・樹下氏の屋敷にて義藤の元服の儀が行われた。武家の管領の慣例により、佐々木六角弾正少弼・定頼を四品に叙し、管領代として加冠の役を務めさせた。理髪の役は細川中務大輔・晴経が務めた。打乱（髪を乱す役）は佐々木民部少輔・植綱が、泔坏（かみゆけ）は（次ページへ続く）

[Continued from previous page] There were many who depended on the hospitality of warriors. Even those who happened to remain in the capital were so lacking in their daily provisions that some were said to be begging for food at people's homes.
In the first month of Tenbun 15 [1546], Ichijō Kampaku Fusatō resigned as Minister of the Left (Sadaijin). Sanjō Kinyori was appointed Minister of the Left. In the third month, Kinyori resigned, and Imadegawa Kimihiko was appointed Minister of the Left. Nijō Haruyoshi was transferred to the position of Minister of the Right (Udaijin). Madenokōji Dainagon Fujiwara no Hidefusa was appointed Naidaijin [Minister of the Interior].
In the seventh month, Hidefusa resigned, and Ichijō Dainagon Kanetsuyu was appointed Naidaijin.
In the same month, Yoshifuyu [Yoshiteru], son of Shōgun Yoshiharu, aged eleven, was granted the court rank of Junior Fifth Rank, Lower Grade (Jūgoi-no-ge).
On the eighteenth day of the twelfth month, Yoshiharu took Yoshifuyu with him to Sakamoto. On the nineteenth day, the coming-of-age ceremony (genpuku) of Yoshifuyu was held at the residence of Kinoshita, the chief priest (kannushi) of the Hiyoshi Shrine. In accordance with the custom of the military government's Kanrei [Deputy Shōgun], Sasaki Rokkaku Danjō-no-Shōhitsu Sadayori was granted the Fourth Rank and, serving as acting Kanrei (Kanrei-dai), performed the role of placing the cap (kakan) upon the initiate. The role of hairdressing (rihatsuyaku) was performed by Hosokawa Nakatsukasa-no-Taifu Harutsune.
