From there, Motonari advanced into Bitchū Province. As Ukita Naoie of Bizen Province sought peace, Motonari withdrew his forces, leaving Takamoto in Suō to hold back the Ōtomo of Bungo, while Motonari, along with Motoharu and Takakage, advanced into Izumo, attacked Toda Castle, engaged in battle with Amago Haruhisa, and the months and years passed.
