One item: Regarding the lacquer tree inspection in Katsuma village that was conducted earlier, since the trees have been withering year after year and this year also all appear to be withered, Gonzaemon-sama stated that we should report that no planting will be done this year, and that he will consider and report back gradually as a courtesy response.

One item: Regarding Seijiro, the indigo dyer of Hokemochi village, due to financial difficulties, he brought two indigo vats to Kitafukuchi village and delivered them. During his absence, one vat remained, making a total of three vats with no increase or decrease, which is reasonable. There is no precedent for colleagues to take responsibility for each other. Regarding this matter, a simple notification was submitted without need for a formal petition. Gonzaemon-sama acknowledged this and gave his courtesy response. Above.

One item: Regarding the petition for building timber from the town, there are currently over three thousand pieces. Since about half of these have been inspected and completed, we will complete the inspection of all remaining pieces by next month and submit a notification. Yozaemon-sama has arranged that the guard duty will be carried out accordingly.
