両人申し合わせ届け仕るべく候様にと源左衛門
久島へ仰せ聞かされ候につき存じ候間ございませぬ。
御差図仕り候義相勤め申すべく候様
申し達し候。しかしながら当春の節に出
川下材木参り候わば御番行き
申すべき儀、久兵衛一人にて相添え候義、
これまた御差図下され様、久右衛門殿

One: Regarding the matter of guard duty in the great hall during off-duty months, Genzaemon was told by Kyūshima that both men should consult and submit a report. As I have no knowledge of this matter, I conveyed that duties assigned should be performed. However, if timber comes downstream this spring, regarding the matter of going on guard duty, and the matter of Kyūbei alone accompanying them - for this too I requested guidance and conveyed this to Kyūemon-sama and Genzaemon-sama.
One: Regarding the rain cloaks that the two net-casting men have received and kept - two cloaks, nine signboards, and two pairs of leggings - when I asked Jūzō-sama what should be done with them, he said they would investigate later and that each should keep them in custody for now.

One: Two new signboards - these should be delivered. I conveyed this in various ways, and Kyūbei immediately took the report to Masanosin-sama. Tomorrow at the storehouse, Kyūbei will convey instructions to the two net-casting men.
