伊藤清兵衛を長崎へ派遣する御用について
伊藤清兵衛を派遣いたしますので、一筆啓達いたします。岐志浦漂着船の件について、この間追々申し入れました趣旨を日下部丹波守殿・渡辺外記殿へ伺いましたところ、去る十五日から御両所へ貴殿がお召し呼びされ仰せ聞かされた次第、並びに丹波守殿からの御返書、外記殿からの御書付をお送りいただき承知いたしました。信牌のない船でありますので外記殿から仰せ付けられるべき旨とのことです。外記殿からの御書付には「最前仰せ渡された通り心得るように」とのことで、いよいよ打払いの趣旨であると詳細にお申し越しいただき承知いたしました。しかしながら不法の件もなく、卒爾に打払いをしては万一筋違いのこともあろうかと心許なく存じ、重ねてお伺いするため清兵衛を使者として派遣いたします。詳細は昨日高木善右衛門を派遣いたしました際に申し入れ、なお又清兵衛へも申し合わせておりますので、詳しくないことがございましたら参着の上申し談じて勤めるようお取り計らいください。恐々謹言

Regarding the official business of dispatching Ito Seibee to Nagasaki
As we are dispatching Ito Seibee, I respectfully write this letter. Regarding the matter of the ship that drifted ashore at Kishiura, when we inquired with Lord Hikabe Tamba-no-kami and Lord Watanabe Gaiki about the matters we have been reporting repeatedly during this time, we received and acknowledged the circumstances of your being summoned by both lords from the 15th, along with the reply letter from Lord Tamba-no-kami and the written directive from Lord Gaiki that you sent us. Since this is a ship without proper credentials (shinpai), it should be dealt with by Lord Gaiki's orders. Lord Gaiki's written directive states to "understand as previously instructed," and we have acknowledged the detailed explanation that this definitively means expulsion. However, since there are no illegal matters involved, we are concerned that hasty expulsion might result in some procedural error, so we are dispatching Seibee as a messenger to make repeated inquiries. The details were communicated when we dispatched Takagi Zenemon yesterday, and we have also coordinated with Seibee, so if there are any unclear matters, please discuss and handle them upon his arrival. With utmost reverence and humility.
