一清兵衛儀八月廿三日長崎着翌廿四日丹波守殿へ
弥次右衛門同道に而罷出被仰含候通御取次を以委
細申達御書付をも指出候処外記殿へ之御使相仕廻
候様御相談之上追而御返言可被仰聞由
一外記殿へ参上候処両人共御逢被成丹波守殿被仰
談其上に而委細可被仰聞由に而引取申由
一同廿五日丹波守殿外記殿ゟ両人共罷出候様申来
外記殿へ罷出候処御逢委細被仰聞御書付并御内
意之趣も被仰聞写引取候由
一丹波守殿罷出候処早速御逢御書付清兵衛え御渡被成
委細被仰聞追而弥次右衛門も被召出清兵衛え御書付
御渡被成候由被仰聞由
一丹波守殿外記殿ゟ御渡被成候御書付一々写差上候
委細清兵衛急罷帰可申上由申越

伊勢守様にもよろしくお伝えくださるよう申し上げてください。恐縮ながら謹んで申し上げます。

一、清兵衛は八月二十三日に長崎に到着し、翌二十四日に弥次右衛門同道で丹波守殿のもとへ参上し、仰せ含められた通りに御取次を通して委細を申し上げ、御書付も提出したところ、外記殿への御使いを済ませるよう御相談の上で、追って御返事を仰せ聞かせられる由でした。
一、外記殿へ参上したところ、両人とも御対面になり、丹波守殿と御相談の上で委細を仰せ聞かせられる由で引き取った由です。
一、同二十五日に丹波守殿・外記殿から両人とも参上するよう申し来たり、外記殿へ参上したところ、御対面があり、委細を仰せ聞かされ、御書付並びに御内意の趣も仰せ聞かされ、写しを取って引き取った由です。
一、丹波守殿のもとへ参上したところ、早速御対面があり、御書付を清兵衛へ御渡しになり、委細を仰せ聞かせられ、追って弥次右衛門も召し出され、清兵衛へ御書付を御渡しになった由を仰せ聞かせられた由です。
一、丹波守殿・外記殿から御渡しになった御書付を一つ一つ写して差し上げます。委細は清兵衛が急ぎ帰って申し上げる由を申し越しました。
ただし清兵衛は八月二十八日に帰着いたしました。

Extract from the letters of Tokunaga Yajiüemon and Itō Seibei:
1. Seibei arrived in Nagasaki on August 23rd, and on the following 24th, accompanied by Yajiüemon, visited Tamba-no-kami-dono. Through an intermediary, he reported the details as instructed and submitted the written documents. After consultation, it was decided that the mission to Geki-dono should be completed first, and a reply would be given later.
1. When they visited Geki-dono, both were granted an audience. It was said that after consultation with Tamba-no-kami-dono, detailed instructions would be given, and they withdrew.
1. On the same 25th, word came from both Tamba-no-kami-dono and Geki-dono that both men should visit. When they visited Geki-dono, they were granted an audience, received detailed instructions, were told the contents of the written documents as well as the private intentions, made copies, and withdrew.
1. When they visited Tamba-no-kami-dono, they were immediately granted an audience. The written document was handed to Seibei, detailed instructions were given, and later Yajiüemon was also summoned and told that the written document had been handed to Seibei.
1. Copies of the written documents handed over by Tamba-no-kami-dono and Geki-dono are submitted one by one. The details will be reported urgently by Seibei upon his return, as communicated.
Note: Seibei returned on August 28th.
