現代語訳
また、唐船に水や薪を渡した件について、そちらでは申さないよう右の両人に申し含めましたが、これもまた自然に外記殿がお尋ねになりましたら、難儀に及ぶ様子に見えたので水薪を少々渡したとだけ答えるよう申し聞かせました。もちろんお尋ねがなければ、こちらから申すことではありません。右の趣旨を弥次右衛門がよく心得て、孫六・瀬兵衛によく申し談じられるべきです。以上
一、右の唐船は天気不順のため船中に滞在することになり、引き送られる趣旨を九月二日の御飛脚便にても申し越されたこと
一、唐船を漕ぎ送る御船々の水夫・兵糧その他これより仕送りの品々が到着し、諸事を仕舞ったので、例の通り質として唐人両人を受け取り、九月三日岐志を漕ぎ出し別条なく済んだので、同所に出向いた木山喜八・大塩治兵衛その他御役人中は同晩に帰ったこと

御飛札を啓上いたします。各様におかれましては、ますます御堅固にお勤めになることと存じます。
さて、肥前守様御領内の岸浦へ唐船が漂流した由、大膳太夫領分の近辺のことでございますので、役人どもを少々差し出し置き申しました。御様子に変わったことがございましたら承りたく存じます。右の趣旨を御了解いただくため、このように御座います。恐惶謹言

Furthermore, regarding providing water and firewood to the Chinese ship, we instructed those two men not to mention this matter there, but if Lord Geki should naturally inquire about it, since it appeared they were in difficulty, you should answer only that "we provided a little water and firewood." Of course, if there is no inquiry, this is not something to mention from our side. Yajiemon should well understand this point and discuss it properly with Magoroku and Sebē. The above.
1. Regarding this Chinese ship, due to unfavorable weather they remained aboard the vessel and were to be escorted away, which was also reported by express messenger on September 2nd.
1. The escort ships' sailors, provisions, and other supplies sent from here arrived, and all matters being concluded, we received two Chinese men as hostages according to precedent. On September 3rd they departed from Kishi without incident, so Kiyama Kihachi, Ōshio Jibē and other officials who went there returned the same evening.
Regarding the Chinese ship's drifting ashore, on August 21st, a express message came from the senior retainers of Lord Okudaira Daizen-no-tayū [Nakatsu domain] to our senior retainers

Furthermore, regarding a Chinese ship that has drifted to Kishiura within Lord Hizen-no-kami's domain, since this concerns areas near Daizen-no-tayū's territory, I have dispatched some of my retainers there. If there are any changes in the situation, I would like to be informed. I write thus to convey this matter for your understanding. With great fear and respect.
