現代語訳
**三宝荒神（さんぼうこうじん）**
三宝とは仏・法・僧のことである。三宝を護持する。荒神とは魄神（はくしん）のことである。
**三宝荒神（さんぼうこうじん）**
小島荒神ともいう。悪人を治罰するため、粗暴・乱暴な神である。また三宝を衛護するゆえに、三宝荒神と号する。

**吉祥天（きっしょうてん）**
毘沙門天の妹である。『光明経』によると、威徳をもって衆事を成就する大功徳天である。梵語では「室利摩訶討毘訶（シュリーマハーデーヴィー）」という。

如来が成道した場所の菩提樹を守護するゆえにこの名がつけられた。

The Three Treasures refer to the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha (monastic community). This deity protects and upholds the Three Treasures. Kōjin refers to a spirit of the soul (魄神, haku-shin).

**Kichijōten (Śrī-mahādevī, Auspicious Heavenly Deity)**
She is the younger sister of Bishamonten (Vaiśravaṇa). According to the *Guangming jing* (Scripture of Radiant Light), she accomplishes all manner of things through her virtue and majesty, and is the Deva of Great Merit. In Sanskrit, she is called "Śrī-Mahādevī" (室利摩訶討毘訶).
**Bodaiju Shinjin-ten (Deva Spirit of the Bodhi Tree)**
She is so named because she protects the Bodhi Tree at the place where the Tathāgata attained enlightenment.
**Hisō-ten (Compassionate-Aspect Deva)**
According to the *Zhùlín* (Pearl Grove / 珠林), this deity is one among thirty-two kinds of heavenly beings. It exists within the heavens of the three realms.
