難陀龍王 名義によると「善観」と翻訳される。観喜の中で最も勝れているので「善」と言う。
迦樓羅王 華厳経では金翅鳥と言う。迦樓羅鳥は金色の翅を持ち、頭に如意珠を繋いでいる。
緊那羅王 また真陀羅とも言う。中国語では「人非人」と言い、天の楽神である。これは諸天の音楽の神で、文殊の化身である。
阿修羅王 什（鳩摩羅什）によると、中国語では「不飲酒」と言う。これは悪趣で、男は醜く、女は端正である。常に天と共に戦う。維摩経・華厳経によると、本身の長さは七百由旬である。

Nanda Dragon King: According to the Name and Meaning text, this translates as "Good Observer." He is called "good" because he is the most excellent among those who observe with joy.
Garuda King: In the Avatamsaka Sutra, this is called the Golden-Winged Bird. The Garuda bird has golden wings and wears a wish-fulfilling jewel tied to its head.
Kinnara King: Also called Mandara. In Chinese, this is called "human non-human," and refers to heavenly musical deities. This is the music deity of all heavens and is an incarnation of Mañjuśrī.
Asura King: According to Śāh (Kumārajīva), in Chinese this means "non-drinker of alcohol." These belong to the evil destinies - the males are ugly while the females are beautiful. They constantly fight with the devas. According to the Vimalakīrti and Avatamsaka sutras, their true body length is seven hundred yojanas.
Golden Great King
Gandharva King: A heavenly deity who dwells in the Vajra Cave south of Mount Sumeru, or resides in the Ten Treasure Mountains.
