現代語訳
恵比寿 伊弉諾尊の第三の御子。天照大神の御弟にてましまし、西の宮へ流され給う故、西宮大神官と祭り奉る。
布袋 支那散聖也。弥勒の化身なり。常に一布袋を持つことを識らず、故に時の人、布袋と呼ぶ。袋の背後に目有り。
寿老
船玉宮 宋の太宗の時、漁人の女なり。雍熙四年九月九日昇天し、雲中に聲ありて「我は則ち観音の化身、今昇化す。これより普く海運を護せん」とよって船王宮と号すと。
英語訳
Ebisu: The third child of Izanagi-no-Mikoto. Being the younger brother of Amaterasu Ōmikami, he was cast away to the western shrine, and thus is worshipped as the great deity of Nishinomiya.
Hotei: A Chinese wandering monk. He is an incarnation of Maitreya Buddha. People did not know that he constantly carried a cloth bag, so people of the time called him "Hotei" (cloth bag). There are eyes on the back of his bag.
Jurōjin
Funatama-gū: During the time of Emperor Taizong of Song, she was a fisherman's daughter. On the 9th day of the 9th month of the 4th year of Yongxi era, she ascended to heaven, and a voice from the clouds said, "I am an incarnation of Kannon. Now I ascend and transform. Henceforth I shall widely protect maritime transport," and thus she came to be called Senfū-gū (Ship King Shrine).
