【右上】
■虚空蔵菩薩
五法・五仏の法体であるから、虚空法界において悟りを得られないことは何一つないといえる。たとえば虚空を蔵（くら）と呼ぶように、その虚空の境界には分限（限界）も方所（場所の区別）もない。この尊もその如く、大悲による衆生利益の智慧は無窮であり、その限界のないことを虚空の蔵（倉）に比例して名づけられた。

■徳蔵菩薩
この菩薩は広大な大悲の功徳を持つ大士であり、一切の群生それぞれの万機（あらゆる機縁）に従い、功徳・大悲の百万の庫蔵を開いて一切衆生を引導し給う。ゆえに徳蔵菩薩と名乗り給えり。

■宝蔵菩薩
宝はこれ種々の珍宝である。蔵は庫蔵の意味である。たとえば世界の福分・珍宝を土蔵に納め置き、万事を弁じる（処理する）ように、この大士もまた一切衆生の願望に従って、功徳・大悲の大宝蔵を開いて度し給う。

■金蔵菩薩
金はこれ不壊の性体であって、水に入っても溺れることなく、火に入っても色を変えることがない。この菩薩は因位（修行位）において、称名の功徳に応えて西方浄土の聖衆となり、黄金不壊の徳義を得給う。ゆえに金蔵と云うと云う。

■Ākāśagarbha Bodhisattva (Space Treasury)
Being the dharma-body of the Five Dharmas and Five Buddhas, there is nothing within the dharma-realm of empty space in which awakening cannot be attained. Just as empty space itself is called a "treasury," that realm of emptiness has neither limits nor particular locations. Likewise, this honored one's compassionate wisdom for benefiting sentient beings is inexhaustible, and the name arises from comparing this limitlessness to the treasury (storehouse) of empty space.

■Dharmakara Bodhisattva (Virtue Treasury)
This bodhisattva is a great being (mahāsattva) endowed with vast and profound compassionate merit. In accordance with the countless capacities of all living beings, he opens the millions of storehouses of merit and great compassion, guiding all sentient beings. Thus he is named Virtue Treasury Bodhisattva.

■Ratnagarbha Bodhisattva (Jewel Treasury)
"Jewel" refers to various precious treasures; "treasury" means a storehouse. Just as one stores the world's blessings and precious treasures in a storehouse to manage all affairs, this great being opens the great treasury of merit and compassion in accordance with the wishes of all sentient beings, and thus delivers them.

■Kanazō Bodhisattva (Gold Treasury)
Gold is an indestructible substance — it does not drown when placed in water, and it does not change color when placed in fire. This bodhisattva, in the stage of practice (in causal position), responds to the merit of invoking the sacred name (nembutsu), becomes one of the holy assembly of the Western Pure Land, and attains the virtue of golden indestructibility. Thus he is called Gold Treasury.
