■花光菩薩
「花光」とは、他師（別の師）が序品において雨花放光（花が雨のように降り、光が放たれること）を見て開悟した故に「花光」と云うのである。離垢世界に居する。

■Kekō Bodhisattva (Flower Light Bodhisattva)
"Kekō" (Flower Light): According to another master's interpretation, because (the bodhisattva) witnessed the raining of flowers and the emission of light (uike hōkō) in the Introductory Chapter (Juhon) and thereby attained enlightenment, it is called "Flower Light." This bodhisattva resides in the world of Riku (離垢世界, "World Free from Defilement").

It is also said to be so named because the land abounds in flowering plants. This appears in the *Hokke Kachū* (Annotated Commentary on the Lotus Sutra).
