Flower Light refers to other masters who attained enlightenment upon witnessing the rain of flowers and emission of light in the Introductory Chapter, hence called Flower Light. This bodhisattva dwells in the world free from defilement.

It is also said that this country is named thus because it has many flowering plants. This is found in the Lotus Sutra Scientific Commentary.
