右の御水帳には名所付けがありますが、場所が見当たりませんので、今回改めるため御代官山下芳右衛門殿、伊藤才蔵殿、御山方高橋勝三郎、滝沢栄四郎が出向いて詮議いたしました趣は左の通りです。
辰野村御立林見分大概覚
一、九月十五日昼時に下辰野村へ移り、直ちにせき林北松尾の方を見分いたしましたところ、せき林の件は御帳面通り雑木林に相違ございません。北松尾と申す名所の雑木林は見当たらず、すべて松木立ての林でございますが、名所は御帳面通り照合いたしますので御林に相違はないものと存じます。百年来以前のことで、追々持林と心得ておりましたので松木が育ったものと存じます。町歩なども、せき林だけでは狭く、北松尾林を加えれば相当の町歩になるものと存じます。暮れ六ツ時頃に引き上げました。

The above locations are recorded with place names in the water registry, but since the actual locations could not be identified, Domain Administrator Yamashita Hōuemon, Itō Saizō, Mountain Department officials Takahashi Katsusaburō and Takizawa Eishirō went out to investigate. The details are as follows:
General Memorandum of Inspection of Tatsuno Village Domain Forests
1. On the 15th day of the 9th month at midday, we moved to lower Tatsuno village and immediately inspected the Seki forest in the direction of Kita-Matsuo. Regarding the Seki forest, it matches the records as a mixed deciduous forest without discrepancy. The mixed forest at the famous place called Kita-Matsuo could not be found - it is entirely a pine forest. However, since the place name corresponds with the records, we believe there is no error regarding the domain forest. This concerns matters from over a hundred years ago, and we believe that as it was gradually considered private forest, pine trees grew up. As for the area measurement, the Seki forest alone would be narrow, but adding the Kita-Matsuo forest would make it an appropriate acreage. We withdrew around sunset (6 o'clock).
