　無之者も余程御座候
一同十八日雨天ニ付不罷出候
一唐木沢之者共罷出申聞候者上嶋
　今村等持主共申談之趣承候所
　譲受証文通之金子取戻本地
　主へ山林差戻可申之取極も仕
　候由左様相成候而も追々売渡候者

者は残らず差し出させ別帳に写し取りました。その中には譲受証文を焼失あるいは紛失等により所持していない者も相当数おります。

一、同十八日は雨天のため出向きませんでした。

一、唐木沢の者共が出向いて申し聞いたところでは、上嶋村、今村等の持主共と相談した趣旨を承ったところ、譲受証文通りの金子を取り戻し、本地主へ山林を差し戻すという取り決めもしたとのことです。そのようになっても、追々売り渡した者共のうち当時では家が断絶した者もおり、あるいは証文を焼失・紛失等した者もあり、殊の外入り組んだ事情につき、何卒唐木沢で引き受けた芝山のうちへ御林を御移し下さるよう願い出ましたので相談いたしましたところ、辰野村内の義とは違い他村の義につき、そのような筋には成り難いと存じますのでその義も成り難いと挨拶いたしました。然るところ三ヶ村の持主共が一同出向き、追々難渋筋をもって御願い申し上げましたところ、御林帳も拝見させていただき、初めて承知し段々御道理を承ったところ、御もっともな筋に相当し是非もない御事と存じます。何卒この上は御慈悲をもって、当時の持主共が行き詰まって難渋しないよう御慈悲をお願いしますと申し聞きましたので、これにより一札を差し出させました。

一、同十九日早朝より唐木沢へ出向き、御林六ヶ所を改めましたところ、山裾通りに

The people from Karaki-sawa came and reported that they had heard from consultations with the landholders from Kamishima village, Imamura and others that they had agreed to recover the money according to the transfer documents and return the mountain forests to the original landholders. Even if this were to happen, among those who had gradually sold the land, some families had become extinct by this time, and some had lost or had their documents destroyed by fire, making the situation extremely complicated. Therefore, they petitioned that the domain forest be transferred to the grassland area that Karaki-sawa had taken over. When we discussed this, since it concerned other villages rather than matters within Tatsuno village, we responded that such arrangements would be difficult and unlikely to succeed. However, the landholders from the three villages all came together and petitioned with various difficulties. When they were allowed to examine the domain forest ledger, they understood for the first time and gradually comprehended the reasoning, acknowledging that it was entirely reasonable and unavoidable. They requested that, out of compassion, the current landholders be shown mercy so they would not face insurmountable difficulties, and accordingly they submitted a written pledge.
