す唯（タヽ）益（エキ）なきのみに非（アラ）す人に害（ガイ）あり又中医あり病
と脈（ミヤク）と薬を知ること上医に及はすと雖（イヘ）とも薬は

ずである。ただ益がないのみではなく、人に害がある。また中医がある。病気と脈と薬を知ることは上医に及ばないといえども、薬はみな気の偏りであって、みだりに用いてはならないことを知っている。故にその病気に応じない薬を与えない。班固が言うには「病気があっても治療しないのは、常に中医を得ることである」という意味は、病気があってもその症状を明らかに判別せず、その脈を詳しく審らかに熟察せず、その処方を精密に究極し難いので、慎んでみだりに薬を施さない。これをもって病気があっても治療しないのは中品の医者である。下医がみだりに薬を用いて人を過つのに勝っている。故に

病気があるとき、もし良医がなければ、庸医の薬を服用して身を傷つけてはならない。ただ保養して薬を用いず、自然に病気の癒えるのを待つべきである。このようにすれば薬毒に当たらずして早く癒える病気が多い。死病は薬を用いても生きない。下医は病気と脈と薬を知らないが、病家の求めに任せてみだりに薬を用い、多く人を傷つける。たちまち傷つけないといえども、病気を助けて癒えることが遅い。よくこの理を弁え知って、応じない薬を服用してはならない。素人は病気があれば急に癒えることを求めて、医者の良し悪しを選ば
