なし譬（タト）へは草木の花／咲（サ）き実を結（ムス）ふか如くなる

また、朝顔は非常に弱い花であるが、日陰にしてやれば夕方まで衰えない。他の草木や鳥虫に至っても、保護の仕方次第で寿命を延ばすことは古今その例が少なくない。まして胎児を宿すことは自然の摂理であるのに、かえって寿命を縮めることがあるとすれば、悲しいことではないか。天地陰陽の変化、五常五倫の道、三才の名義も皆これより成り立つ。人がよくこの理を会得して、専ら養生に務める時は、彭祖や武内宿禰、倭姫命の長寿の境地といえども、望み得るところであろう。

およそ婦人が胎児を宿すのは、月経が終わった後十日の間である。これを過ぎれば次の月経が来て妊娠することはない。譬えれば草木の花が咲いて実を結ぶのと同じようなものである。その出産の時期は、大略の日数として、初めて妊娠する者は三百日を経て出産する。何度も出産している者は二百七十五日を過ぎれば順次出産するであろう。もし妊婦に何か病気があるか、または転倒して腹を打ち、胎児が苦しんで羊水が漏れ出たり、あるいは出血する者がある。そもそも胎児は胞膜という一つの袋のように完全に包まれて子宮の内に

On the Number of Days in Pregnancy
Generally, women conceive within ten days after menstruation ends. If this period passes, the next menstruation will occur and conception will not happen. This is analogous to how plants bloom and bear fruit. As for the timing of delivery, in terms of approximate number of days: those who conceive for the first time give birth after three hundred days.
