をいふ病源論（ヒヤウケンロン）にはいてぬ病（ヤマヒ）なり其／因（モト）は胎動（タイトウ）に属（ソク）
す手足／搐搦（チクテキ）直視（シキシ）反張（ハンチヤウ）す甚きに至ては舌を吐（ハ）
くこと数寸（スヽン）或は宿食（シクシヨク）を吐（ハ）き或は糞汁（フンシウ）を吐く是は
必／死（し）するなり若よく治すれは満月に至て母子共
に安穏（アンオン）なることの多しさて子／癇（カン）を発（ハツ）すること

両三度に及へは子宮（シキウ）必ゆるむ故に《振り仮名：回生｜クハイセイ｜ウマスル》の術（シユツ）を行ふ
て出せは母はかならす扱（スク）ふものなり早く手なれたる
医（イ）をやとひ治（ヂ）を請（コフ）へし且／妊娠（ニンシン）のもの腹中にて
子の泣（ナ）くことあり此を鬼哭（キコク）と名（ナ）つく薬餌（ヤクシ）なくして
止むものなり若／止（ヤ）まされは黄連一味を濃（コ）く煎（セン）
し妊婦に飲（ノマ）しむれはかならす止む一婦人産
に臨（ノソ）んて予（ヨ）に治を乞（コ）ふ予産室に入て《振り仮名：未＿レ娩｜イマタベンセ｜ル　》に
児のなく声（コイ）をきく稍（ヤヽ）ありて生る其子至て健（スコヤカ）な
り是／驚（ヲトロ）くへきにあらす

房事（性交）を慎むべきことである。人が鳥獣に劣るのは、ただこの欲情のためだけである。これを慎む時は極めて安産となる。

一般に子癇というのは、妊娠中に突然癇を発して卒倒することをいう。病源論には出ていない病気である。その原因は胎動に関係する。手足が痙攣し、目を見開いて体を反らせる。甚だしい場合には舌を数寸も吐き出したり、あるいは宿食を吐いたり、あるいは糞汁を吐く。これは必ず死ぬ。もしよく治療すれば満月に至って母子共に安穏であることが多い。さて子癇を発すること

二、三度に及べば子宮が必ずゆるむので、回生の術を行って出産させれば母は必ず助かるものである。早く手慣れた医者を雇い治療を請うべきである。また妊娠している者で腹中で子が泣くことがある。これを鬼哭と名付ける。薬を用いなくても止むものである。もし止まなければ黄連一味を濃く煎じて妊婦に飲ませれば必ず止む。ある婦人が出産に臨んで私に治療を乞うた。私が産室に入ると、まだ分娩していないのに児の泣く声を聞いた。しばらくして生まれた。その子は至って健やかである。これは驚くべきことではない。

Generally, what is called "shikan" refers to suddenly developing convulsions and collapsing during pregnancy. This is a disease not mentioned in the Byōgenron (Treatise on Disease Origins). Its cause is related to fetal movement. The hands and feet convulse, the eyes stare fixedly, and the body arches backward. In severe cases, the tongue protrudes several inches, or the patient vomits undigested food, or vomits fecal matter. This invariably results in death. two or three times, the uterus inevitably loosens, so if the resuscitation technique is performed and delivery is induced, the mother will certainly be saved. One should quickly hire an experienced physician and request treatment. Also, among pregnant women, there are cases where the child cries in the womb. This is called "kikoku" (demon crying). It stops without medication. If it does not stop, brew ōren (coptis) alone in a strong decoction and have the pregnant woman drink it, and it will certainly stop. One woman approached childbirth and requested my treatment. When I entered the delivery room, I heard the child's crying voice before birth. After a while, the child was born. That child was extremely healthy. This is not something to be surprised about.
