　　室中皆席地坐無椅桌之用飲食諸具皆低小以

器皿

　　室中は皆席に座り、椅子や机を用いることはない。飲食の諸道具は皆低く小さく作られ、使用に便利である。その中国本土と異なる製法のものを左のように図示する。

　　槃

　すべて飲食で碗を置く道具は、古の俎豆や槃器のようで、あるいは方形、あるいは円形で、皆脚が付いており、高さは五、六寸ほどである。食事の際は数具を前に羅列する。

　　煙架

　煙架は一奩の中に火炉一つ、唾壺一つ、煙盆一つが入っている。室中に数具を置き、人の前に各々一具ずつ置く。王宮で製作し使用するものは甚だ精巧で美しい。

　　棋枰

Utensils and Vessels

　　In the rooms, everyone sits on mats on the floor, with no use of chairs or tables. All eating and drinking utensils are made low and small for convenience of use. Those that differ in manufacture from mainland China are illustrated as follows.

　　Trays

　All utensils for placing bowls during meals are like the ancient ritual vessels zu, dou, and pan. They are either square or round in shape, all with legs, about five to six sun in height. During meals, several of these are arranged in front of each person.

　　Smoking Sets

　A smoking set consists of one case containing one fire brazier, one spittoon, and one tobacco tray. Several sets are placed in the room, with one set placed in front of each person. Those manufactured and used in the royal palace are extremely elaborate and beautiful.
