舌（した）しと【「舌しとぎ」のことか】のうれひなし
○ 臍瘡（さいさう） ほぞくさといふ

○ 痘瘡（はうさう）
痘瘡は天行（じこう）の邪気（じやき）にさそはれ内（うち）にある胎（たい）どくの発（はつ）するなり
熱（ねつ）はなはだしく傷寒（しやうかん）に似（に）てまぎらはしく若（もし）傷寒（しやうかん）とも痘瘡
ともわからざるあひだは。葛根湯（かつこんたう）のせんじ汁（しる）にて薬王円（やくわうゑん）を用
ゆべし。痘瘡（はうさう）ときはまりなば薬王円ばかり用ひてよし。

○ 中暑（ちうしよ）
傷寒論（しやうかんろん）に嘔吐（おうど）して痢（くた）るもの名（なづけ）て霍乱（あつけ）とあり夫（それ）小児の
中暑は脾胃（ひゐ）よはきゆゑ夏月（なつは）ことさら乳食（にうしよく）胃（ゐ）【月＋完】（くはん）に停滞（とゞこほり）
し安く。外（ほか）暑（あつけ）にあたり。内（うち）乳食（にうしよく）不消化（こなれず）して大 熱（ねつ）を発（はつ）し

舌炎の心配はない。
○臍瘡 臍の腐れという
この病気は臍が腫れ出て、その色が白くなるか、あるいは瘡のようになり、膿汁が出て腹が激しく痛む、極めて重大な病気である。私の薬王円を用いると奇効があることは神のようである。
○痘瘡
痘瘡は流行性の邪気に誘われ、内にある胎毒が発するものである。熱が激しく傷寒に似て紛らわしく、もし傷寒か痘瘡かわからない間は、葛根湯の煎じ汁で薬王円を用いるべきである。痘瘡と決まれば薬王円ばかり用いてよい。間違いなく全快する。
葛根湯方
葛根七分 麻黄三分 桂枝三分
芍薬三分 甘草一分 大棗二分
右に生姜一片を入れて常のように煎じ、一日に一服に薬王円一服ずつを用いるべきである。
また発熱から痘瘡が見えるまでに、烏犀角を鮫皮でおろし、一度に目方二分ずつ水で用いてよい。痘瘡が見えるようになったら止めて、後に再び用いるべきである。
○中暑
傷寒論に嘔吐して下痢するものを名付けて霍乱とある。それで小児の中暑は脾胃が弱いゆえ、夏はことさら乳食が胃に停滞しやすく、外は暑気にあたり、内は乳食が消化されずして大熱を発し

○ Umbilical Sores (Called "Navel Rot")
This disease causes the navel to swell and turn white in color, or become like a sore, with pus discharge and severe abdominal pain. It is an extremely serious illness. Using my Yakuo-gan has miraculous effects like divine intervention.
○ Smallpox
Smallpox is caused by epidemic pathogenic qi that triggers the eruption of fetal toxins within the body. The fever is severe and resembles typhoid fever, making it confusing. If one cannot distinguish between typhoid fever and smallpox, one should use Yakuo-gan with a decoction of Kakkon-to (Kudzu Decoction). Once it is determined to be smallpox, use only Yakuo-gan. Recovery will be certain without error.
Kakkon-to Formula:
Kudzu root 7 bu, Ephedra 3 bu, Cinnamon twig 3 bu
Peony 3 bu, Licorice 1 bu, Jujube 2 bu
Add one slice of fresh ginger to the above and decoct as usual. Use one dose per day with one dose of Yakuo-gan each time.
Also, from the onset of fever until smallpox becomes visible, grate black rhinoceros horn with sharkskin, using 2 bu by weight each time with water. When smallpox becomes visible, stop using it, then use it again later.
○ Heat Stroke
The Treatise on Cold Damage states that those who vomit and have diarrhea are called "cholera." For children, heat stroke occurs because the spleen and stomach are weak, so in summer, milk and food especially tend to stagnate in the stomach.
