いふ先生（せんせい）は脾胃（ひゐ）虚（きよ）より発（おこ）るといふ。竜仙（れうせん）のいへるは否とせらるゝ哉
○答（こたへ）ていはく。胎毒（たいどく）より疾（やまひ）を発（おこす）るゆゑ。出生（しゆつしやう）の節（せつ）茶を用（もち）ひて。胎毒（たいどく）

現代語訳
にて治してほしい入／瞳に肉がかかるのも二三回用いて、速やかに治すことは奇々妙々である。
文化十年酉年より弘化四年未年まで出版した能書本に、痘疹（天然痘・麻疹）後の眼病は治せず、用いてはならないと記し置いた所、病家より右の痘疹後の眼病にも用いるに奇妙に効果があるとのこと追々申してきたにつき、なお又篤と試すに、ほしい入すでに盲目となるも不思議の功能ありて、十人に八九人まですべて治す。故にここにこれを改める。功能の速やかなことは用いて知り給うべし。
○諸病胎毒論《附》大人に効験ある事
或る人《予》に向かって曰く。伊達竜仙は小児諸病は胎毒より発すると言う。先生は脾胃虚より発すると言う。竜仙の言うことは否とされるのか。
○答えて言わく。胎毒より疾を発するゆえ、出生の節に茶を用いて胎毒を去ることが肝要なりと言う。
○問う 小児出生して間なく疾を発するあり。又二三歳六七才までも無病にて瘡毒の憂いもなき小児、俄に大病発し急死するか、或いは長病となる児あり。諸疾は胎毒より発すと言えば遅速はあるまじきに、かく前後遅速のあるはいかん。
○答う それ小児胎内にて気を受くるに厚薄あり。気を厚く受くるもの、自ずから脾実（強き）ゆえ疾あらず。又気を薄く受くるものは脾虚なるゆえ、生まれながら疾む。しかるに脾実なる生質も、乳母（親）の食物不慎より脾虚して気血めぐりかね、乳食化せずして疾を発するゆえ遅速あるなり。
○問 胎毒多き小児も脾実（強き）は一生無

In the medical books published from Bunka 10 (Year of the Rooster) to Kōka 4 (Year of the Sheep), I had written that eye diseases following smallpox and measles could not be cured and should not be treated. However, patients gradually reported that this medicine worked miraculously even for post-smallpox eye diseases. When I tested it more thoroughly, I found that even those who had already gone blind showed wonderful efficacy, with eight or nine out of ten people being completely cured. Therefore, I revise my previous statement here. You will know the swiftness of its efficacy when you use it.
○ Theory of Various Diseases and Fetal Toxins 《Supplement》 Effectiveness in Adults
Someone asked me: "Date Ryūsen says that all childhood diseases arise from fetal toxins. You say they arise from spleen-stomach deficiency. Do you reject Ryūsen's theory?"
○ I answered: "Since diseases arise from fetal toxins, it is essential to use tea at birth to eliminate fetal toxins."
○ Question: Some children develop diseases shortly after birth, while other children who remain healthy without any pox-related concerns until age two, three, six, or seven suddenly develop serious illnesses and die quickly, or become chronically ill. If all diseases arise from fetal toxins, there should be no variation in timing. Why is there such variation in timing?
○ Answer: When children receive qi in the womb, there are degrees of thickness and thinness. Those who receive thick qi naturally have strong spleens and do not fall ill. Those who receive thin qi have deficient spleens and are ill from birth. However, even those born with strong spleens can develop spleen deficiency due to the wet nurse's (or mother's) improper diet, causing qi and blood to stagnate and preventing proper digestion of milk and food, thus developing diseases with varying timing.
