こうして浦島屋太郎介は狂言和尚に
善悪の玉手箱を授かり、わが家へ持ち帰った
ところ、その日より太郎介の心が急に正しくなり、
下地方比
真面目の上
に太郎介が精
出して稼ぎ
をしたので
今は
もう
一箱や
二箱の
金は
いつ
でも
遊
ん
で
いるくらい
の暮らし
となり、
なお
いっそう
狂言
和尚の
教えを守
っていた。
ところがある日
ふとあの
玉手箱が
開けてみたく
なり、何気
なく蓋を
取ったところ、
中より
ひゅうとろとろの
声とともに
白煙が立ち
上り、
さまざまな
玉が
空
を指
して
飛び
上がるのは
まるで
花火の
総
仕舞い
のよう
であった。
これ
より
また
太
郎
介は元の
怠け者に
なってしまった
不思議なこと
金玉
が言う
〽待て待て
糞年が
落ち
さあ
だ
〽金
玉と
金玉が
間違う
から
玉という
字に
しておく
やつさ
〽昔の浦島は玉手箱を
開けて一度に年が寄り
今の浦島屋は玉手箱を
開けて急に気が
若くなる。開けて悔しき
玉手箱、肝が
潰れて魂が抜けた
屁玉が言う

失敗だ
その代わり
俺が出たら
ちと臭いかんべい
ぶいぶい

玉を取られて
淡海の先に

英語訳
Thus Urashima-ya Taronosuke received
the jeweled box of good and evil from the kyogen monk
and took it home to his house.
From that day forth, Taronosuke's heart suddenly became righteous,
and with his fundamental nature
corrected,
Taronosuke worked
diligently
and earned money,
so that
now
he had enough
gold for one box or
two boxes
to live
comfortably
with money
always
available
for leisure,
and he
even more
faithfully
followed the
teachings of the kyogen
monk.
But one day
he suddenly wanted
to open that
jeweled box,
and carelessly
removed the lid.
From within
came a voice like
"hyuu-toro-toro" along with
white smoke rising
up,
and various
balls
flew
up
toward
the
sky—
it was just
like the grand
finale
of fireworks.
From this
point
Taro-
suke
again became
the lazy person
he once was.
How mysterious!
The gold ball
says:
〽Wait, wait!
The damn year
has fallen
down!
〽Since gold
ball and
gold ball
get confused,
I'll just use
the character
for "ball"
instead
〽The Urashima of old opened his jeweled box
and aged all at once,
but today's Urashima-ya opened his jeweled box
and suddenly his spirit
became young. Regrettably opened
jeweled box—his liver
collapsed and his soul escaped
The fart ball says:

failure of all!

when I come out
it smells a bit
