現代語訳
宇沼市郎右衛門殿立会いの下、左の通り申し渡された。

満兵衛
右の者について、武家や在郷、並びに寺院へ赴いて商売することを、商人仲間以外には認めないよう申し付けていたところ、この度格別の事情により、在郷並びに寺院へ赴くことを許可し、この場所においても今後問題ないこととする。ただし、武家および城下の八ヶ寺の檀那寺以外には、これまで通り商売を禁止する。御希望の趣旨があると思われるが、なお心得違いのないよう身分をわきまえて慎むべきである。これにより今後は同業の商人以外には認めないということはない。
右の趣旨を各々立会いの上申し渡すこと。以上

右の通り申し渡されたので、両奉行様に町代同道で面会をお願い申し上げ、なお右役小頭中へも挨拶回りをするよう申し渡した。

Regarding this person, we had previously ordered that conducting business with samurai households, rural areas, and temples should not be permitted to those outside the merchant guild. However, due to special circumstances, we now grant permission for him to visit rural areas and temples, and there shall be no problem with his presence here as well. However, except for samurai households and the eight temple parishes in the castle town, business remains prohibited as before. We believe there are circumstances behind your request, but you must still be mindful of your social status and conduct yourself with propriety to avoid any misunderstandings. Accordingly, from now on, this does not mean that those outside the same trade guild are not permitted.
Each person present shall convey the above instructions. That is all.
