右の者どもの件について召し捕り、牢に入れて取り調べを行ったところ、今年八月七日の夜、清水町の若松屋茂兵衛の借宅において、法度の博打を催したとの申し立てがあり、不埒につき咎めの筋を以下のように申し渡す。
一、左惣次について、法度の博打に加わり、その上宿（賭場の提供）をした段、重ねて不埒につき過怠勤を申し付ける。
一、吉兵衛について、以前も法度の博打にたびたび加わり咎めを申し付けたが、その上は急度相慎んで控えているべきところ、なお又博打に加わった段、不埒につき過怠勤を申し付ける。
一、吉兵衛の親類・組合の者について、博打に加わったことを知らないはずがないところ、等閑に見過ごした段、不埒につき過科銭を申し付ける。
一、左惣次の組合の者について、博打をしたことを知らないはずがないのに、等閑に見過ごした段、不埒につき過科銭を申し付ける。

Regarding the aforementioned individuals, they were arrested and imprisoned for interrogation. Upon investigation, it was revealed that on the night of the 7th day of the 8th month of this year, illegal gambling forbidden by law was organized at the rented residence of Mohei of Wakamatsuya in Shimizu-machi. Due to this misconduct, the following punishments are hereby decreed:
1. Regarding Sasoji: For participating in forbidden gambling and furthermore providing lodging (for the gambling venue), this repeated misconduct warrants the imposition of a disciplinary fine.
2. Regarding Kichibei: Having been previously punished multiple times for participating in forbidden gambling, he should have strictly refrained from such activities, yet he participated in gambling again. Due to this misconduct, a disciplinary fine is imposed.
3. Regarding Kichibei's relatives and group members: They could not have been unaware that gambling was taking place, yet they carelessly overlooked it. Due to this misconduct, penalty money is imposed.
4. Regarding Sasoji's group members: They could not have been unaware that gambling was occurring, yet they carelessly overlooked it. Due to this misconduct, penalty money is imposed.
