現代語訳
青本が妹、柱隠しは一枚絵描きの容姿に惚れて、質屋の番頭を捕まえたようで口説いている。
これは短気な「このとおりでございます」
こんな絵にしが、紙にもあろうか。
野辺に育ちし小菊の私、辛い、この美の紙さんかけて、主に心を見す紙と付き合わせたる巻紙のまたの御見を、松葉紙腐れた縁の端切らす、友と思ってくださんせと、濡れかかられて一枚絵もさすがに磐城にあらぬ小奉書の四つ切り、故に襟元からぞっとするほど毛羽立って、大恋愛事となりたがるに、絵の具の冷めぬようにと行く末を案じる。
