現代語訳
鎮西八郎為朝は保元の夜軍で伊藤五郎・同六郎両人の胸板を射抜いた強弓なので、その教え方は格別である。戦場での弓は人を相手にするものなので、じっとしていられる人は一人もない。よって大的や雁股などでは良いものではない。とある万国の図にある腹に穴のある人を呼び寄せ、具足を着せて吊るし、動く所を具足の上から射かけさせる。
