現代語訳
おさかは立ち上がって驚く。
「さっきから段々先生さんの話を聞いておりましたが、本当のことでそうおっしゃいますか。安価な私のような者にそうおっしゃるはずがない。」
と言ううちに、来義がおさかを連れて帰る。風水は来義とおとみを人前にやり、いろいろと話をさせる。
【おとみ】
「お騙しなんかするものですか。」
騙すとは商売ではない、売り物ではないこと。先生をたいてい頼んだことではない。本当にと言って抱きつく拍子に、おさかが「おとみさん」と呼ぶので、皆々座敷へ出て、その日はそれきりにて皆々帰る。
