【右丁】
命じられる場合、春後以前の御達しであれば、すぐに春後から給人並みの通常の三季割で支給し直すこと。もし春後および夏後以後に御取立ての場合は、無足の時に春後で多く受け取った分を差し引く心得で、当人にもその旨を伝えておくこと。

一 御加増がある御取立ての分については、春後以前であれば、御加増分も加えて給人並みの通常の三季割で支給すべきである。

春後以後であれば夏暮並みの通常の割合で、不足分があればその分だけ当座に支給すべきである。夏暮並みの割合に御加増を加えても不足する場合は、暮分だけを並みの通常の割合で、夏後分は不足分だけを支給すること。夏後以後に御達しがある場合は、暮分を並みの通常の割合で、余分は御取立ての際に支給すること。

When such an appointment is made, if the directive comes before the spring payment period, it shall immediately be converted to the standard three-season allocation equivalent to that of stipend-receiving retainers (kyūnin) starting from the spring period. If the promotion occurs during or after the spring and summer payment periods, the excess amount received during the spring period while serving as a foot soldier (muashi) shall be deducted, and this matter shall be communicated to the individual concerned.

If occurring after the spring period, it shall be distributed at the standard summer-end rate, and any shortfall shall be paid immediately as a lump sum. If adding the salary increase to the summer-end rate still results in a shortfall, only the year-end portion shall be paid at the standard rate, while the summer period portion shall be paid only for the shortfall amount. When the directive comes after the summer period, the year-end portion shall be paid at the standard rate, and any excess shall be paid at the time of promotion.
