右の小左衛門（永田小左衛門）は実直に職務を務め、功績もございますことから、
一昨年十月に申し上げ、御勘定（奉行）より大坂御金奉行を仰せ付けられました。御代官を
仰せ付けるにふさわしき者がおりますことから、この度書面の通り仰せ付けられますよう存じ奉ります。
（ワ） 鹿島神主・東大膳の方より、この度隼一据（一羽）を差し上げ候につき、
御褒美として金三両を下し置かれ候間、其方の御代官所の御物成金の内をもって
渡し、大膳の受取手形をもって御勘定に相立て候べく候。
右は大久保佐渡守殿の御断りにつき、かくの如し。以上。

The aforementioned Kozaemon (Nagata Kozaemon) has performed his duties with integrity and has demonstrated notable achievements. Therefore, as was reported in October of the year before last, he was appointed Osaka Treasury Administrator by the Accounting Administrator. As there is a suitable person to be appointed as Deputy Administrator, I respectfully request that the appointment be made as stated in the written document.
(Wa) The Kashima Shrine chief priest, Higashi Daizen, has on this occasion presented one falcon. As a reward, three ryō in gold shall be granted to him. This amount is to be paid from the revenue funds of the Deputy Administrator's territory, and shall be properly recorded in the accounts upon receipt of Daizen's acknowledgment form.
The above is noted per the instruction of Lord Ōkubo Sado-no-kami. The above is all.
