利欲将軍
名聞将軍
現代語訳
また、この暗迷国には利欲将軍、名聞将軍という二人の大将がいて、常に名誉を争って戦いが絶えない。
利欲将軍の出で立ちは、頭に蜘蛛の巣の兜をいただき、身に稲妻の鎧を固め、隙行く駒の平首に欲の熊手を引き付けて立っていた。
名聞将軍は頭に蜉蝣の角の前立物を打った夕べの露の星兜をいただき、身には蜉蝣の鎧を固め、秋の蝉の羽をもって矢羽を作った矢を高々と負い、両将とも高い天狗や関羽の旗印したものを無常の風にひらひらと翻し、風構えの灯火の陰に火花を散らして戦った。
〽名聞方の軍勢は敵を「盲目で見識がない」と侮り、利欲方の軍勢は敵を「感情がなく世間知らず」と罵る。

Furthermore, in this Country of Dark Delusion, there are two great generals called General Greed (Riyoku) and General Fame-Seeking (Myōmon), who constantly compete for glory and never cease fighting.
General Greed's appearance: he wore a helmet made of spider webs on his head, armor of lightning on his body, and stood with greed's bamboo rake attached to the neck of a horse that runs through gaps in time.
General Fame-Seeking wore on his head a star helmet of evening dew decorated with mayfly horns as a front crest, armored his body with mayfly armor, made arrow fletching from autumn cicada wings and carried arrows high on his back. Both generals had banners bearing the emblems of high tengu and Guan Yu fluttering in the wind of impermanence, scattering sparks in the shadows of their torches as they fought.
〽The forces of the Fame-Seeking side despise their enemies as "blind and lacking insight," while the forces of the Greed side revile their enemies as "emotionless and ignorant of the world."
