一 米穀之儀近頃は在中
ニ而達者ニ取引仕候もの
出来仕中馬ニ而附出し
又は他所商人江直売
仕候故自然と町方江

一 近年違作ニ付諸国
荷物駄賃銭引上ケ

一、米穀について、近頃は在郷で上手に取引をする者が現れ、中馬で送り出したり、また他所の商人へ直売したりしているため、自然と町方へ

出る穀物が払底してしまい、一同難渋しております。これも町方が融通が利かず、しっかりと買い入れをする者がいないためとはいえ、嘆かわしく存じております。
一、近年の凶作により、諸国の荷物の駄賃銭が引き上げられ、特に飯田辺りから当地までの駄賃は、近頃まで三駄につき一貫百文位であったところ、この節では二十匁位から時によっては三十匁程のこともあり、そのため諸品が高値になってしまいます。景気が悪いためやむを得ないことではございますが、自然と売買も減少して難渋しております。

Due to recent crop failures, transportation fees for goods from various provinces have been raised. In particular, the pack-horse fees from the Iida area to our locality, which until recently were about one kan one hundred mon for three pack-horse loads, now cost around twenty monme and sometimes as much as thirty monme, causing all goods to become expensive. While this is unavoidable due to poor economic conditions, trade has naturally decreased, causing us hardship.
