In ancient times the castle town prospered, so even when, with all due respect, His Lordship commanded us to perform various duties, we could adequately fulfill considerable tasks. However, at present, even when minor official business is ordered, we are in such a state that we cannot manage to arrange it, which we find deeply mortifying. Therefore, we have gathered together many times to deliberate with great concern, but our humble wisdom is insufficient, and each of us is deeply troubled.
