一、陸奥守殿のご作法については、特に気遣いは不要と存じます。しかしながら、先例をご存知でない事柄、あるいは往古（昔）と風儀・慣習が変わっている事柄もございますので、一概に決めることは難しく、上にとっても下にとっても良いようにと考えた上で、思案のほどを申し入れる次第でございます。
一、当面の事柄、あるいはご代替わりの際に生じるべき事柄について、ご幼少のため延引（先送り）となっている事柄は別として、遅延すべきでない事柄については、この度よくご熟考の上、お暇（余裕のある）の折々に順次お申し付けになるのが然るべきと存じます。この段については、陸奥守殿へも詳しくお話し申し上げた次第でございます。
一、ご一門方の中からご不満・ご恨みが生じないようにとのご心掛けが最も肝要と存じます。現在のところ四家については（陸奥守殿と）御心安い（良好な関係の）ことと存じます。その他の衆については——（以下次頁へ続く）

One: Regarding the proper conduct and procedures (sahō) of the Lord of Mutsu (Mutsu no Kami-dono), I do not believe there is particular cause for concern. However, since there are matters for which there is no knowledge of prior precedent, as well as matters where customs and practices have changed since ancient times, it is difficult to make a blanket determination. Bearing in mind what would be best for all parties, I offer these thoughts as my considered opinion.
One: Concerning matters that are currently pressing, or matters that will arise at the time of the succession to his lordship — those which have been deferred due to his youth are a separate matter — but for those matters that should not be delayed, it is my view that they should be carefully considered at this time and gradually attended to whenever his lordship has leisure. This point has also been communicated in detail to the Lord of Mutsu.
One: I believe it is of utmost importance to be mindful that no grievances or resentments arise among the members of the related houses (go-ichimon). At present, it seems the four houses are on good, amicable terms (with his lordship). As for the other members — (continues on the next page)
