恐れながら口上書をもってお願い申し上げます件
一、権現社の境内において来る六月十八日に子供が集まって花富興行をいたしたく存じます。つきましてこの件をお願い申し上げます。
右の趣旨につき、ご慈悲をもってお願い申し上げた通りお取り計らいくださいましたなら、ありがたい次第と存じます。以上 鉾持町

右の願書を五月九日に月番問屋へ提出し、五月十九日に許可をいただきました。

私の兄十三郎は御用水役を勤め鍛冶職をしておりましたところ、
当年七月二十八日に出奔いたし、行方がわかりません。つきまして
御用水役をお赦免くださいますようお願い申し上げます。何卒
ご慈悲をもって願いの通りお取り計らいくださいましたなら、
ありがたい次第と存じます。 鉾持町

My elder brother Jūza-rō served as a water works official and worked as a blacksmith, but
on the 28th day of the 7th month of this year, he absconded and his whereabouts are unknown. Therefore,
I humbly petition that he be pardoned from his water works official duties. Please,
through your mercy, if you would grant my petition as requested,
