私は山室村の富左衛門という者を寄弟子に召し抱え、御水役を務めさせ、鍛冶職をさせたく願い上げます。何卒御慈悲をもって願いの通り御水役札を仰せ付けくださいますれば、ありがたい仕合わせと存じます件について
右の傳重が願い上げる通り、少しも相違ございません。願いの通り仰せ付けくださいますれば、私ども一同ありがたい仕合わせと存じます。以上

I wish to take in Tomizaemon from Yamashimura village as my apprentice, have him serve as a water official, and allow him to practice blacksmithing. I humbly request that you mercifully grant him an official water service permit as requested, which would be a most grateful blessing.
